It's coming up to the end of 2011 and I thought I would write up my thoughts on my year. I've been really pleased with my progress this year. I feel I've managed to put together some good pieces of art like this one
[link] and this one
[link] . I've also come on a lot with trying out some different art materials like my brush pen
[link] [link] . So all in all I think I've done OK. Could be better, but isn't that always the case?
The other thing I've been happy with this year is my progress comics wise. My on-going comic The Standing Stones (on my website here
[link] and on DevART here
[link] ) is going along well. It could do with a few more readers, but I'll admit to not having made much effort to go out and promote it! I'm happy with the way the story is going though and it should be a good read once it's all finished.
So . . . Goals For The Year:
1. Finish my college course.
2. Get an illustration agent interested in representing me.
3. Self-publish Ao Stories and maybe a collection of my short stories (I've been putting this off for FAR too long)
4. Finish The Standing Stones. (Only about 100 pages to go. Woo!)
Thanks for reading and/or looking at my art this year. All support is much appreciated.

. . .
Also, while I'm here let me point you towards some really great comics I came across this year:
Bear In Mind: This has a really good Calvin and Hobbes 'grown up but still with problems' vibe to it
[link]Late Blooming: You've probably seen

's work already. He's quite well known in DeviantART. But his new comic deserves a mention. I'm loving it so far
[link]Sorry Comics: 'kay, this comic started a few years ago, but I only found out about around March this year. It is amazing. Simply drawn but profound.
[link]That is all I think.
See you next year!
